Fly Fishing The Catskills

Fishing completes me. Its memories filter
through all my days—the precise glint of
moonlight on a Rocky Mountain spring creek
with circles everywhere; a popping bug sliding
off a lily pad, and the water exploding; the first
taps of the first trout of spring taking a nymph.
None of these are simply leisure or only recreation.
And I cannot conceive of life without such measured,
deliberate, re-creation.

I came to fly fishing by the same route as most anglers. I started with worm and bobber fishing for sunnies, perch, or anything that would make my bobber go down.

I remember that excitement and still have the same enthusiasm when connecting with fish of any kind. As a teenager, I began fly fishing and quickly realized this is how I wanted to pursue this passion.

I have been fly fishing the Catskills for over 40 years, and have a profound knowledge, love and respect for the fish, people and natural beauty of the area. If you book a trip with me, I will show you a day where beyond fishing, you will get a history of the area, its secrets and hopefully come to love it as much as I do.

I want to end by thanking you for taking the time to visit my web-site and hope you will consider letting me share a great experience and area with you.
